Nathan, this post is so needed by parents to know what is going on with their children's food. I would like to ask permission to re-share it as a guest post on Deep Roots at Home with links back (top and bottom) to your original post here. I would use a different title and url so it won't mess with your SEO. We are in a race to reach more people about these issues as media has so much twisted misinformation and families are so sick. The more that understand these things, the less will buy into what they are told to do. If you prefer me not re-share, I totally understand, however, I am having between 8 and 16K views a day and that would likely send you extra traffic.
Jacqueline my dear friend, thank you so much for reading, reaching out and sharing your vision. Yes, you have my permission. I could not agree with you more about the media and I thank you for your role in helping the parents and the children, I thank you for your work to help bring out more truth. It is an honor to be consider and I am thankful you decided to be here on earth in this very special time. You are very appreciated by me. Many blessings and keep shining dear one, may you continue to inspire, incite and ignite truth in miraculous ways.
I used to work for a veterinarian whose wife had a seizure disorder. She was told not to eat anything with red dyes. Many years later I had a little dog who developed a seizure disorder and they were becoming more and more frequent. When I took her to the vet (same one I had worked for 20 years earlier) he reminded me of that. I eliminated anything with red dye in it - amazing how many pet foods contain it! - and she never had another seizure. So none of this surprises me. EXCEPT that when we think we are eating "natural" foods so many of them have been dyed! THAT was a surprise to me!
I was really surprised by the natural foods being dyed as well- you would think that eating fruits would be safe, but I guess not! Thank you for commenting and sharing the story about your dog. It's sad that so many adults, children and pets are being poisoned daily; but sharing is caring and the more we can expose these things the better for us and our pets.
Was it just red dye that your dog was sensitive to, or was it other dyes as well?
We only eliminated the red, and that stopped the seizures. (The vet's wife's seizures didn't stop but it did help somewhat when they eliminated red dyes, IIRC!) Who knows how many of our health issues are caused by such things? Doctors certainly can't test for them all - if they test for them at all.
How unfortunate it is that colors are put in pet food with the sole purpose of marketing appeal to the human shoppers and the innocent pets get poisoned as a result!
We recently started watching a documentary called Stink, it has opened my eyes to all the cancer causing fragrances, flame retardants, and formaldehyde in clothing, furniture and other products. Our bodies are all so strong and resilient to put up with all the daily chemicals.
